| Description: | Gram-negative, oxidase- and catalase-positive, non-spore-forming rods, 1.6–2.5 x 0.45–0.55μm, occurring as single cells, in pairs or as short chains of cells. Motile by means of a single, non-sheathed, polar flagellum. Colonies on marine 2216 agar at 25–30°C after 72 h are cream, circular (1– 2 mm), smooth, convex and shiny with entire edges. |
