| Class: | Gamma Proteobacteria |
| Genus: | Marinobacter |
| Species: | Marinobacter nitratireducens |
| Description: | Cells are Gram-stain-negative, rod-shaped, 0.8–1.0μm wide by 2.0–3.0μm long, and motile by a single polar flagellum.Cells form chains, multiply by binary fission and are motile.
