| Description: | Cells are Gram-negative, rod-shaped (0.6–0.8 x 2.0–2.5μm), devoid of endospores, motile with a single polar flagellum. Growth occurs under aerobic conditions.Colonies are 0.3–0.6 mm in diameter, circular and slightly irregular, cream-coloured, convex with a smooth surface and an entire edge, semi-transparent after incubation on marine agar 2216 (Difco) at 28°C for 48 h, and turn brown after incubation for more than 14 days. |
