Description: Cells are motile rods which are sinle or which form short chains.Gram negative.Single polar flagellum.Colonies are pigmented pink.Carbon sources include methane and methanol metabolisede using the RuMP pathway.Optimum temperature for growth is 17°C.Range is around 5-30°C.Range of pH is 5.0-9.0 but the optimum pH is nearly 6.8-7.6.
