MICROBULBIFER AGARILYTICUS
| Class: | Gamma Proteobacteria |
| Genus: | Microbulbifer |
| Species: | Microbulbifer agarilyticus |
| Description: | Cells are Gram-negative, non-motile rods, 0.4–0.7μm wide and 3.5–6.5μm long. Colonies on MA are slightly irregular, smooth, cream-coloured and 2–4 mm in diameter after 3 days incubation at 37°C. The optimal temperature for growth is 31–35°C. No growth occurs at temperatures higher than 40°C. |
