MICROBULBIFER CHITINLYTICUS
| Class: | Gamma Proteobacteria |
| Genus: | Microbulbifer |
| Species: | Microbulbifer chitinlyticus |
| Description: | Cells are rod-shaped, 0.5–0.6μm wide and 1.5–2.0μm long; both rod-shaped and coccoid cells are present in older cultures. Coccoid cells are 0.7μm in diameter. Cells are Gram-negative, strictly aerobic, chemo-organotrophic and motile by means of a peritrichous flagellum. |
