| Class: | Gamma Proteobacteria |
| Genus: | Microbulbifer |
| Species: | Microbulbifer donghaiensis |
| Description: | Cells are Gram-negative and rod-shaped (0.3–0.4 x 2.5– 4.0μm). Colonies on marine agar 2216 are 1–2 mm in diameter, circular, convex and light yellow in colour after 24 h at 35°C. No growth occurs in the absence of salt. Growth occurs at NaCl concentrations of 0.5–6.0 % (w/v),with optimum growth at 3.0 %. |
