Description: It has been discovered in the surface pellicle of aquarium water.Later it was detected in various natural environments.They are rod shaped often slightly bent and stain gram negative.They are 0.7-1.1 x 1.5-2.3 μm.Often the cells contain refractive globules.
Synonyms: Gallionella ramosa (Famintzin 1892) Krasil'nikov 1949.
