PHOTOBACTERIUM GALATHEAE
| Class: | Gamma Proteobacteria |
| Genus: | Photobacterium |
| Species: | Photobacterium galatheae |
| Description: | Cells are motile rods, 1.6–3.0μm long and 0.74–1.2μm wide, with polar flagella 2.5–6.9μm in length. Cells are Gram-stain-negative, non-spore-forming, facultatively anaerobic and occur mainly as single cells. When grown on MA 2216 at 25°C, colonies are irregular in shape and size, depending on the biomass and swarming levels. |
