Description: Cells are Gram-negative, motile, large irregular rods.Colonies on TSA are small (up to approx. 0.5 mm in diameter after 48 h of incubation), round and whitish.Metabolism is oxidative.Growth occurs at 4–30°C in the presence of 0–6 % NaCl. Fluorescein pigment is produced, but pyocyanin is not.
