PSEUDOMONAS CISSICOLA
| Class: | Gamma Proteobacteria |
| Genus: | Pseudomonas |
| Species: | Pseudomonas cissicola |
| Description: | Bacterial cells grown for 24 hours at 28°C on nutrient agar slants were gram negative rods measuring 0.4-0.6 x 0.9-2.51μm (average 0.5 x 2.0μm), and were irregularly stained with Ziehl's carbol fuchsin. Motility was not observed in any isolates immediately after the isolation from the naturally infected lesions. The motile clones, however, appeared without exception after repeated subculturing onnutrient agar slants. A polar flagellum was detected in these motile cells. Spores and capsules were not formed. |
