PSEUDOMONAS COLEOPTERORUM

Class: Gamma Proteobacteria
Genus: Pseudomonas
Species: Pseudomonas coleopterorum
Description: Gram-stain-negative, strictly aerobic, non-spore-forming,rod-shaped cells of 1.6–2.3μm in length and 0.8–0.9μm in diameter, motile by means of polar flagella. Colonies are yellow, circular, convex and fluorescent and 1.5–2.0 mm in diameter after 48 h of growth at 24°C in nutrient agar.Temperature for growth ranges between 4 and 30°C,growth pH ranges between 4 and 10. Optimal growth occurs at 20–24°C and pH 6–8. Able to grow with up to 5 % NaCl in nutrient agar.
