Description: Cells are Gram-negative, non-spore-forming rods,0.6–1.3 x 2–5μm, occurring singly or in pairs and motile by polar flagella.Cells form long rods (5–10μm) in liquid medium(nutrient broth). Colonies on nutrient agar are circular,smooth and 2–3 mm in diameter (after 24 h of cultivation). Fluorescein is produced on King B medium.
