Description: Grew anaerobically by performance of nirate respiration and did not liquefy gelatin.Rods, 0.4 to 0.6 by 1.4 to 1.8 microns. Occurring singly, rarely in pairs. Motile with polar flagella. Gram-negative. Nutrient agar colonies: Circular, smooth or slightly rough, entire, raised, glistening, pale yellowish brown, opalescent,butyrous. Glutamate agar colonies: Circular, smooth, entire, raised to convex, glistening, pale brownish gray to pale brown, butyrous to viscid, medium yellow.
