PSEUDOMONAS SALINA

Class: Gamma Proteobacteria
Genus: Pseudomonas
Species: Pseudomonas salina
Description: Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-endospore-forming,rod-shaped, motile by means of a single polar flagellum,0.4–0.6μm wide and 1.0–1.6μm long. Colonies are 0.8–1.5 mm in diameter, smooth, non-pigmented and transparent after cultivation on MA (pH 7.5) at 30°C for4 days. Growth occurs at 4–35°C (optimum, 25–30°C)in TSB, at pH 6.5–10.5 (optimum, pH 8.0–8.5) in LB broth supplemented with 2% (w/v) NaCl, in the presence of up to 12.0% (w/v) NaCl (optimum, 1.0–2.0%) and in LB without addition of NaCl.
