| Description: | Cells are Gram-negative, motile with one or three polar flagella, non-spore-forming, round-ended rods, about 0.7–1.0 x 1.0–2.2μm. Colonies on TSA are smooth, circular and non-pigmented (creamy yellow). Growth occurs at 5–42°C(optimum, 30–37°C), but not at higher temperatures (45–60°C). Growth occurs at pH 4–9 (optimum, pH 6–8).Grows on media containing 0–6 % (w/v) NaCl; no growth on media containing 7–10 % NaCl. |
