PSEUDOMONAS THERMOTOLERANS

Class: Gamma Proteobacteria
Genus: Pseudomonas
Species: Pseudomonas thermotolerans
Description: Forms rod-shaped cells, 1.0-1.5 x 0.4-0.7μm. Gram reaction is negative. Cells are motile by a single polar flagellum. Colonies grown on LA medium are not pigmented and are 1±2 mm in diameter after 24 h growth ; fluorescence is not produced on King B medium. Growth occurs above 25°C and below 56°C;the optimal growth temperature for strain CM3T is approximately 47°C.
