| Description: | Grows at pH 6.0–10.5, with optimum growth at pH 6–9.Gram-negative, aerobic, straight rods (0.4–0.6 x 1.0–2.5μm), motile by a single polar flagellum. Colonies are circular and white. Does not produce a fluorescent pigment. Grows in the presence of 0–9 % NaCl, with optimum growth at 1–3 % NaCl, and at 4–42°C, with optimum growth at 35°C at pH 7. |
