Description: Adjective koreensis pertaining to Korea, the location of the soil sample from which the type strain was isolated).Cells are Gram-negative, oxidase-positive with an oxidative metabolism,catalase-positive,non-spore-forming,non-motile rods.Good growth occurs aerobically on R2A agar, nutrient agar and TSA at 30°C; white,semi-translucent,non-shiny colonies with entire edges form within 3 days, having diameters of approximately 1.5–3 mm.
