Description: Adjective taiwanensis of Taiwan, referring to where the organism was first isolated.Aerobic. Colonies are light yellow. Cells are Gram-negative, predominantly single straight rods, usually 0.5-0.8μm in diameter and 0.9-1.4μm in length.Flagella are absent.Thermophilic,with a growth temperature range of 30±60°C ;the optimum temperature is 50°C.
