PSYCHROMONAS INGRAHAMII

Class: Gamma Proteobacteria
Genus: Psychromonas
Species: Psychromonas ingrahamii
Description: Cells are Gram-negative, non-motile large rods, 6–14μm long and 1.25–1.5μm wide, found either singly or in pairs, and containing two gas vesicle morphotypes. On SWCm,colonies are white, circular, smooth and convex, with an entire margin. Moderately halophilic (growth at NaCl concentrations of 1–12 %, with weak growth up to 20 %, but no growth without NaCl), and strictly psychrophilic
