Description: Cells are Gram-stain-negative, non-flagellated, non-spore-forming and ovoid or rod-shaped, approximately 0.2–0.6μm in width and 0.4–4.5μm in length. Colonies on R2A agar are circular, flat to raised, smooth, glistening, dark brown in colour and 1.0–2.0 mm in diameter after incubation for 3 days at 30°C.
