Description: Cells are Gram-staining-negative rods (1.3–2.4μm long and 0.5–0.8μm wide), non-spore-forming, motile by the presence of a single-polar flagella and grow under aerobic and microaerophilic conditions. Colonies on LG agar are 1–1.5 mm in diameter, transparent, non-pigmented, circular and slightly convex after 48 h of incubation at 28°C.
