Description: Cells are Gram-negative, straight or curved rods (1.0–2.0μm long and 0.3–0.5μm wide). Motile by a single polar flagellum. Able to form prosthecae. Facultatively aerobic.Colonies on marine agar are slightly yellow, circular (1.5–2.0 mm in diameter) and convex with smooth surfaces after incubation for 48 h at 30°C.
