RHIZOBACTER BERGENIAE

Class: Gamma Proteobacteria
Genus: Rhizobacter
Species: Rhizobacter bergeniae
Description: Cells are 0.4–0.6 x 1.7–2.2μm in size. Colonies grown on R2A agar for 2 days are yellowish, smooth, circular, convex and 1–2 mm in diameter with regular margins. Good growth on NA and R2A agar; moderate growth on TSA; no growth on MacConkey agar or MA. Growth occurs at 7–33°C (optimum, 25–28°C), at pH 5.0–10.0 (optimum,pH 6.0–7.0) and in the presence of 0–0.5 % (w/v) NaCl(optimum, 0 %).
