RHODANOBACTER GINSENOSIDIMUTANS

Class: Gamma Proteobacteria
Genus: Rhodanobacter
Species: Rhodanobacter ginsenosidimutans
Description: Cells are Gram-negative, aerobic, non-motile and rod- shaped, 0.4–0.6 μm wide and 1.1–1.3 μm long after 3 days on R2A agar (Difco). Colonies grown on R2A agar for 3 days are smooth, circular, convex, transparent and yellowish. On R2A agar, grows at 15–37°C, but not at 4 or 42°C. Growth occurs at pH 4–10 and in up to 5 % NaCl; optimal growth is at pH 7.0 and without NaCl.
