Description: Adjective koreensis pertaining to Korea, the location of the compost sample from which the type strain was isolated.Cells are Gram-negative, strictly aerobic, non-motile, slightlycurved rods, 0.2–0.4μm in diameter and 1.5–2.0μm in length. Colonies grown on R2A agar (Difco) for 2 days are smooth, circular, non-glossy, yellowish and convex.
