THALASSOMONAS HALIOTIS

Class: Gamma Proteobacteria
Genus: Thalassomonas
Species: Thalassomonas haliotis
Description: Cells are Gram-negative, aerobic and rod-shaped, approximately 1.0–2.0 μm long by 0.5–0.7 μm wide. Cells are motile by a subpolar flagellum. Releases a stable, brown, diffusible pigment into the medium. Cytochrome oxidaseand catalase-positive.
