THIOALKALIMICROBIUM CYCLICUM
| Class: | Gamma Proteobacteria |
| Genus: | Thioalkalimicrobium |
| Species: | Thioalkalimicrobium cyclicum |
| Description: | Cells vary from straight rods with sharp edges to spirilla, 0.4-0.5 x 0.8-1.5μm, motile by means of 1-3 polar flagella at one end.Gram-negative. Cell wall is undulating and unstable in low osmotic environment.Colonies are reddish, without sulfur, convex or spreading. Obligately aerobic and chemo-lithoautotrophic. |
