THIOALKALIVIBRIO NITRATIS

Class: Gamma Proteobacteria
Genus: Thioalkalivibrio
Species: Thioalkalivibrio nitratis
Description: Cells are mostly vibroid, up to spirilla, 0.4-0.6 x 0.8-3.0μm, motile with a single polar flagellum. Gram-negative ; cell wall is usually highly rippled. Most strains contain multiple carboxysomes in the centre of the cells.Matured colonies are usually yellow to orange±brown.
