Description: Gram negative,straight rods,motile.Non presenting lateral flagella on solid media.Not swarming on complex media.Non luminescence.Can grow in nutrient broth with:1% NaCl,6% NaCl,8% NaCl, and 10% NaCl(rarely).
Synonyms: Beneckea nereida Baumann et al. 1971.
Source: Isolated from seawater of the coast of Hawaii.
Pathogenicity: Isolated from an outbreak of fatal infections of swea bream(Acanthopagus schlegeli) at hatcheries in western Japan,but pathogenicity was noty proved.
