XENORHABDUS POINARII
| Class: | Gamma Proteobacteria |
| Genus: | Xenorhabdus |
| Species: | Xenorhabdus poinarii |
| Description: | Brown-pigmented, intensity of pigmentation varies considerably between strains. Does not adsorb bromothymol blue; phase I isolates adsorb neutral red, forming red colonies. Some strains produce antibiotic factors. In this species there are more than two phases; adsorption of neutral red and production of antimicrobial factors are not always associated. |
