Description Yersinia aldovae,formerly Y. enterocolytica-like group chi2,has been isolated from aquatic environments and is not known to be pathogenic to humans.Yersinia aldovae cells are gram negative,nonspore forming, non-encapsulated, straight, and rod shaped and have peritrichous or degeneratively peritrichous flagella. .
Synonyms Yersinia enterocolitica-like group chi2.
Habitat/Source Yersinia aldovae is found in aquatic habitats and soil.
Pathogenicity Neither human nor animal pathogenicity has been documented for this species.
